Jaguar XJS Collector Classic

Donated by: Bruce Healey in memory of his Father.
The 1991 Jaguar XJS Collector Classic stands as a sophisticated "grand finale" for the pre-facelift era of Jaguar’s legendary grand tourer. Released to commemorate the end of the initial design run before the 1992 redesign, this special edition distilled British luxury into a sleek, low-slung silhouette characterized by its iconic flying buttresses and oval headlamps. Under the hood, it typically boasted the silky-smooth 5.3L V12 engine, delivering a refined power that felt more like a continuous surge than a mechanical struggle. Inside, the cabin was a masterclass in "old-world" opulence, featuring hand-polished burl walnut veneers, supple Connolly leather, and deep-pile carpeting that made every journey feel like an event. While it lacked the modern infotainment of today, the Collector Classic offered a timeless, analog soul—a final, high-gloss tribute to a design that had defined Jaguar's grand touring identity for over fifteen years.
