Donated by:  Hrach Chekigian of Watertown, MA

The Austin A35 replaced the Austin A30 in 1956.  The A35 was basically the same car as the A30 but had greater rear vision by way of and enlarged window.  The power unit was upgraded to 948cc.  The A30 and A35 featured monocock body construction as opposed to a separate chassis and body arrangements.  There we three other variants of the A35 - a Pickup (only 475 built), a Countryman Wagon, and a Panel Van.  The last A35 saloon rolled off the production line in August of 1959.  Total production of A30 and A35's was 577,000 vehicles.
